The short version. We collect your name, email address and phone number when you give them to us. We use them to send you the things you asked for and emails about live events. We do not sell them. You can unsubscribe from any email, or ask us to delete everything, at any time.
1. Who we are
The Live Event Studio is operated by Linguilist LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, USA, with a registered address of 30 North Gould Street, Sheridan, WY 82801 ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at any time at ben@theliveeventstudio.com.
This policy covers theliveeventstudio.com and the forms we run on advertising platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

If you fill in a form on Facebook or Instagram, the platform may fill some fields in for you from your profile. You can edit them before you submit. We only receive what you actually submit.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, government identification numbers, health information, or any other sensitive category of personal data. If a competition you win requires tax paperwork, we will tell you separately what is needed and why.
3. Why we use it
- To send you what you asked for — instructions, competition details, joining links, event reminders.
- To invite you into our community on Skool, where our competitions and courses run.
- To send you emails about live events — what we are running, what we have learned, and what we sell. Every one of these has an unsubscribe link.
- To contact you directly by phone or messaging app if you gave us a number and there is something specific to discuss, such as your entry or a question you raised.
- To run and improve our advertising, by measuring which adverts led to which sign-ups.
- To meet legal obligations, including tax reporting where we pay out a prize.
We rely on your consent for marketing email, and on our legitimate interest in running the business for the rest. Where the law in your country requires consent for something, we ask for it.
4. Who else sees it
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a small number of companies to run things on our behalf, and they only handle your data to provide their service to us:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
5. Adverts and measurement
This website uses the Meta pixel, a small piece of code that tells Meta which pages you visited on our site. We use it to measure whether our adverts work and to show adverts to people who have visited us before. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you.
You can limit this. Your browser settings control cookies. Meta's own advert settings, at facebook.com/adpreferences, control what Meta shows you and what it does with activity reported by businesses like ours.
6. Where your data goes
We are a US company and the services listed above are based mainly in the United States and the European Union. If you are outside those places, your information will be transferred there. Our providers use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for transfers out of the UK and EEA.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your details on our email list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and then we keep a minimal record that you unsubscribed so that we do not email you again by accident. Records connected to a prize payout are kept for seven years, because tax rules require it.
8. Your choices
- Unsubscribe. Every marketing email has a link at the bottom. It takes effect immediately.
- Ask us what we hold. Email us and we will send you a copy.
- Ask us to correct or delete it. Email us and we will do it, unless we are legally required to keep a record.
- Object, or withdraw consent. Email us. Withdrawing consent does not undo anything we did before you withdrew it.
Use ben@theliveeventstudio.com for all of these. We will reply within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EEA and you are not happy with our response, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
9. Children
This site and our competitions are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.
10. Security
Your details are held in the accounts of the providers listed in section 4, protected by their security and our own access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a transmission over the internet is safe from interception.
11. Not affiliated with any platform
Our forms, competitions and community are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, Instagram, or Skool, Inc. When you submit one of our forms you are providing your information to us, not to those companies. Questions or complaints about how we use your information must come to us.
12. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant and affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email.
